The layout of Islip town at present and its developmental plan are portrayed in the given maps.

Overall, it is clear that the plan is both progressive and systematic in nature.

The town, at present has some shops on either side of the main road which crosses it from west to east. Towards the south of the countryside and shops is the residential area of the town. There exist a school which at the west and a park at the east; both connected to the main road.

The plan is an enclosed town inside a double lane road, which has entry and points at both east and west. The proposed establishments are a bus station, a shopping centre and a car park, which would replace the existing shops at the north of the main road. The main road, which is the present landmark, is set to be transformed to a pedestrians way. Two new housing facilities are also expected one at the north and the other at the south.
