The given pie chart gives an account of the factors which contributed to physical injury to the employees of a firm in the year 2023.

It is clear that except violence, most cases of staff injuries were avoidable if proper precautions were taken.

Of the avoidable cases, the worst were as a result of slips and trips, and this constituted exactly a quarter of the total reported injuries. Improper handling can be seen as the second most reason among the avoidable incidents. When 22% of such cases were identified, exactly a fifth of the total injuries stemmed from accidental falls. In the fourth position, precisely 14% of injuries were caused when staff stuck against objects.

Violence was the main unavoidable injury. This contributed exactly 12% of the total reported staff injuries. The remaining causes of injuries were categorised in other causes, which was 7% of the total.
