The enrolment statistics of students at Manchester University in three specific years in the past: 1937, 1967 and 2017 is illustrated in the given table.

As per the table, the number of new admissions to the University inclined during the period. Between 1937 and 1967 this growth was 806, whereas between 1967 and 2017, this went up further by 5121.

When the enrolment rate is calculated on gender basis, 1967 saw 10% increase in the male enrolment, whereas this was just the opposite in case of female enrolment. However, the trend reversed between 1967 and 2017, but the percentage disparity was 20.

Regarding the residential status of these students, the rate of overseas students hiked, whereas the proportion of those who came within 40 miles proximity of Manchester declined over the period. In case of the former group, the growth was between 6 (from 4 countries) and 32% (from 102 countries), whilst the latter’s proportion fell from 55 to nearly 1-2.

Overall, it is clear from the table that, the volume of new enrolments in Manchester went up over the given period, with more number of overseas students and fluctuating gender enrolments.
