As the newer technology is transforming the way which we procure information, many tend to believe that the internet is more productive than traditional classroom discussion, in which lectures used to be conducted with multiple participants. Despite some solvable challenges, which are often seen in this newer form, I too think in a similar way.

In the past, there were many difficulties both the teachers and the students faced, in terms of the delivering methods of lecture, resources, time-flexibility and cost. Internet gave the freedom to both students and teachers to transfer the information more effectively, when in the past, it was confined to only classrooms. A sizeable proportion of students can now acquire knowledge from a single teacher, at their convenient time. The availability of abundant resources on the internet helps both in learning and teaching. The system of teaching also has undergone tremendous changes as sophisticated techniques are being used in high definition webinars and other online coaching platforms. Advanced virtual learning helps many students to back up their intellectual resources which would rarely have happened in a traditional classroom.

However, many criticize this virtual experience of learning by pointing at the lesser span of attention from students. For example, a large number of students can be hardly monitored by either a host or an anchor of a webinar. This lax supervision can result in poor academic concentration. Another problem is time management. There are instances in which many portions are left uncovered because of a lack of strict discipline.

To conclude, one can definitely say that the changes the internet has brought in the field of education are remarkable, when compared to the previous systems. Though there exist some crises in its smooth running, I think it can be solved easily in near future.
