Dear Principal,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction on the unexpected cancellation of our summer work placement program.

I am Matthew Robinson, a second semester student of Business English. The whole class was eagerly waiting for the placement drive, which is one of the vital parts in our curriculum as mentioned in the prospectus. However, we are left deeply disappointed regarding what was announced on the school’s notice board yesterday.

As an overseas student, one of the key reasons why I took admission in your school is because you have been offering summer placements for the past 10 years. Even though your tuition fee is higher when compared to other language schools, many of my classmates including me thought it was worthy paying a higher fee since there is an opportunity of work placements at summer.

I understand there would be some genuine reason behind this decision. You might know that it would be difficult for us to survive the situation independently. Therefore, I would request you to have a second thought regarding the matter and that would help you to maintain your school’s reputation globally.
