Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a student of Aston University and I am writing this letter to complain that I lost my student ID card while travelling back to my accommodation from college.

I am a fifth semester commerce undergraduate student at the aforementioned university, and I have been here in the UK for the past two and a half years. As I am an overseas student, I do not have too many local contacts here, except with my fellow students and college staff.

On 20th of this month, I boarded the bus to my rental apartment as usual after the class. I recognized that my wallet is stolen once I reached the apartment. It was only when I went to the library the next day, I realised that my student ID card was there in the wallet, which was stolen.

It would be highly appreciated if you could record the incidence, so that I can apply for a new card from the university. All the necessary details are attached with the letter including the bus number and estimated time of travel.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

John
