I am an overseas student residing at the college hostel since my admission and I have a neat academic profile. Last week, my department head informed me about the aforementioned seminar, which is scheduled to be held in the neighboring city.

The week-long seminar on ‘Modern Communication Strategies’ covers vast areas of my subject, and is led by eminent personalities in the field. As I am planning to take the same as my major for my post-graduation, I think this would be a real asset. The workshops after the seminar would be an added advantage.

I know, the college upholds strict discipline and absenteeism is something which you would never tolerate. However, I request you to consider the academic benefits which I can gain if I attend the program. The seminar is from 20 to 26th of this month. I assure you that I will report before you in person once the event is concluded.
