Dear Sir,

I am a first semester undergraduate student in your college and I am writing this letter to request a change in the course which I am currently enrolled in.

I took English literature as my major, as it was my parents’ ambition to see me as a graduate in English. I have been to the class regularly for almost a month, and have already given a class test.

Since my first class, I was struggling with the language style which I have not been familiar to. I thought the issue would be resolved as the class advances. However, it has not yet happened, and hence I would like to change my course.

I prefer Communicative English as my new option because I feel it deals with the contemporary style. As I have been using the language regularly for more than a decade, I feel the course would not be as difficult as literature. My student ID is YT 0089 and my date of admission is 25 February.
