Dear Mr Thomas,

I am writing to ask my apologies for the failure in submitting my project report, which was due to be submitted last week.

I am Steve George, and my student identification number is UY 00976. My project title is ‘The struggles of the aged’, a 250 paged project, which I was given the deadline for submission on 26 August.

I was well ahead of the time, and was expecting to submit the project well before the deadline. Unfortunately, on 15th August, I fell ill, and later, I was diagnosed with Covid-19. I was in bed for the following week, which made me unable to complete the last 25 pages of the project, including the final draft.

I understand that the submission of this project is mandatory for my successful completion of the course. Therefore, I would like to ask whether you could give me another week’s time to submit my project.

I look forward to hearing from you a prompt and positive reply

Yours sincerely,

Steve George
