Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to inform you my personal inconvenience to attend the pre-enrolment interview which was scheduled for me next week.

As informed via post, I was asked to attend the interview for the candidate selection for Post-Graduation in Marine Engineering on Friday, the 25^th of this month. However, my father’s open heart surgery was posted on the same date. As his only son, I have to be with him all through that day.

I would like to express my sincere apology for not making myself available at the scheduled session. I would also request you to allocate me an alternate schedule, so that I could not delay any opportunity to achieve my academic goals. I would be available any day after Sunday, the 27^th June.

It would be appreciated if you could share some more details about the interview. Firstly, I would like to know about its duration. The second query is whether the session consists of any written or practical tests. Once again I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
