You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.
Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter:
Write at least 150 words.
The purpose of this letter is to bring your attention towards an error in your publication about my hometown.
Last week, when I went through your magazine, ‘The Asian Travelogue’, I found an exciting article about my hometown. However, while I was reading further, my eyes stuck on wrong information on the commencement of tourist season here. Instead of April, it starts in January and lasts for six months.
The main reason why I want you to notice this is because the place is visited by a lot of new international tourists every year. As your magazine is a popular one, and it reaches a lot of people across the globe, the error would affect the lives of a sizeable proportion of people in my town who heavily depend on tourism for their livelihood.
It would be highly appreciated if you could publish a correctional notice in your next publication, with a reference to the local tourism promotion council so that the prospective tourists should not get confused about when the season starts.
I look forward from you a prompt and positive response.
