MODEL ANSWER:
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to seek apology for failing to provide evidence for not appearing an exam our university conducted last month.
I am a first semester Biotechnology student (Name: Rahael Jude, Enrollment number- FYBTECH27, Case Number: OX564762) of our reputed university, The University of Albion. The exam on paper 4, entitled ‘Methodology and Practical Aspects ‘ was scheduled on 28 March and I was well-prepared for it.
However, on 26 March, I fell ill with the complaints of high fever and severe headache for which I consulted Dr. Jain of Albion’s hospital. After investigations, I was diagnosed with dengue and was admitted in the same hospital. As a first semester student, I was not well-aware that a candidate should produce the evidence if he fails to attend a semester exam.
I have the discharge summary, with which I can produce a medical certificate from the hospital in two days.
I hope you will consider my situation and accept my sincere apologies.
Yours faithfully,
Rahael Jude
