Dear Sir or madam,

I am writing to express my interest to babysit your child for six months as mentioned in the advertisement.

Last Friday, when I was going through the classifieds on ‘Australian Opportunities’, I saw your advert. I am an overseas student from Philippines and I just completed my under graduation in Early Childhood Psychology. As I have eight months stay back in this country, I think this job would earn me some money as well as a free accommodation.

The reason why I think I would be the best for this job is because of my qualification. Understanding a six year old is not at all a difficult task for me. During my internship, I secured ‘A grade’ in exploring the emotional needs of infants. Being the eldest in the family, I cared three of my sisters during my parents’ absence back at my home.

I would like to spend most of the time within your family, caring the baby. However, if I get a day off weekly, I would like to spend time with my classmates, going shopping and to cinemas.
