You recently celebrated a special occasion in your personal life and received a card and a present from your colleagues at work. Write a letter to your colleagues.

In your letter:

• remind your colleagues what the special occasion you were celebrating
• thank them for the card and gift
• explain why you like the gift and how you will use it

Dear colleagues,

The day before yesterday is a day which I cherish through my life. You all made it more colourful. Thank you for your care and appreciation.

Till the evening of my 35^th birthday, that was the day before yesterday, when the company planned a party for me, l was really unaware  of yours plans to  present something special for me.

After the speech of appreciation from our branch head, it was all of a sudden we broke the clutches of formalities. I still remember the moment when Peter came to me and presented the card and broke the silence immediately after the speech. Then came Susan, with the surprise gift:  the Rolex watch. I can’t express the gratitude towards you in mere words.

 I still wonder how you realised that I was looking to buy a brand new Rolex watch. Your gift is so special for me and I will keep this for my life.
