Dear Principal,

I am a student who seeks admission for Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology at your college and I am writing to enquire about any scholarship since I am going through some financial problems at present.

I have successfully completed my higher-secondary education with GPA of 4.55 on a scale of 5. As I find enough seats for Microbiology are vacant at your college, I made an enquiry at your information desk. However, I have less hope to get enrolled as I cannot bear the admission fees as well as the first year fee, which is demanded in advance.

My family’s financial background was sound enough till the death of my father, who was an accountant. Since then my mother started working part-time as she has a keen desire to see me as a graduate. I heard that your college has sponsors who avail scholarships to eligible admission-seekers from poor economic backgrounds. If the information is true, I would like to apply for the same. 

It would be also appreciated if you could intimate me other possible financial assistance with or without conditions.
